Georgia Baptists attending the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting this June are invited to a special evening of fellowship, celebration, and encouragement at the 2025 Georgia Baptist Fellowship.

Set for Monday, June 9, from 9 to 11 p.m. in Hall B of the Dallas Convention Center, the event offers a chance for Georgia Baptists to come together in a relaxed setting, enjoy ice cream, receive giveaways, and connect amid the busyness of the national gathering.

"Anytime we can gather Georgia Baptists together, it is a win! This gathering is a chance to fellowship with friends and meet new people," said W. Thomas Hammond, Jr., executive director of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

Attendees can expect to hear stories from Georgia missionaries serving with the International Mission Board and receive updates on ministry highlights from across the state. Throughout the evening, guests will have opportunities to win tickets to the October Georgia Baptist Retreat at Lake Lanier Islands, merchandise credits, gift cards, and books. The latest Georgia Baptist swag will also be available.

The Georgia Baptist Fellowship serves as a meaningful reminder that ministry is never meant to be done in isolation. Attendees are encouraged to come early, stay late, and enjoy the relationships that make Georgia Baptists stronger together.

"We certainly need and benefit from relationships in ministry. It's great to know there is someone standing beside you in every aspect of life and service," Hammond said.  “This time serves as an important reminder that ministry is done through partnerships and relationships.”

Georgia Baptists planning to attend the SBC annual meeting are encouraged not to miss this unique opportunity to be together, celebrate God’s work, and renew their commitment to gospel partnership across the state and around the world.

“I can't wait to see us all together on Monday night,” said Hammond. “What a blessing to be a part of the Georgia Baptist Convention family!”
