PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — The Deaf Ministry at First Baptist Church Peachtree City hosted a special event on Sunday, June 2, to share the love of Jesus with Deaf and hard of hearing people. Visitors came from Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in Douglasville and from East Thomaston Baptist Church in Thomaston.
Following the service, guests were invited to a time of Bible study and fellowship at the home of Barb Coffan, an interpreter for Deaf people at the church.
Nathan Hill, a Deaf bivocational pastor of Agape Deaf Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, shared a message in sign language about Psalm 23 and guests presented riveting testimonies of their new lives with Jesus. After the picnic, Hill held private counseling sessions with anyone who needed guidance from the Lord in their native language - A.S.L. Coffan reports that one woman professed faith in Jesus.
