WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Georgia Baptists will be encouraged and equipped to maximize their evangelism efforts during a one-day conference on Monday, Nov. 9, at Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, just before the Georgia Baptist Convention Annual Meeting.

The 2026 Annual Meeting Evangelism Conference will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is designed to encourage pastors and church leaders while giving them practical ideas they can take back to their congregations.

The day will feature keynote messages from Jim Perdue, pastor of Second Baptist Church; Frank Cox, pastor of North Metro Baptist Church; and D.J. Horton, pastor of Church at the Mill.

Perdue grew up at Second Baptist and has served as its pastor since 2012, with a focus on helping the church reach its neighbors and the nations with the gospel.

Cox has pastored North Metro Baptist Church since 1980 and brings more than four decades of experience in evangelism, missions, and local church ministry.

Horton has led Church at the Mill since 2004. His ministry emphasis includes prayer, preaching, people, and purpose, with a focus on helping others experience God’s grace in Christ.

Along with the keynote sessions, participants will be able to choose from a range of breakout sessions addressing both personal evangelism and church-wide strategy.

Topics will include turning everyday relationships into gospel conversations, strengthening evangelism in smaller churches, connecting discipleship and evangelism, developing a culture of personal invitation, relying on the Holy Spirit in evangelism, and using social media to spread the gospel.

Other sessions will focus on sharing the gospel with children, students, and young adults; understanding the local mission field; equipping women to live on mission; preaching for response; communicating the gospel through congregational singing; and reaching increasingly multicultural communities.

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend lunch-and-learn sessions.

A men’s session, “Systems Evangelism,” will look at systems churches of any size can use to strengthen evangelism and increase baptisms. The women’s session, “Every Woman Sent,” will focus on equipping women to share the gospel in everyday life.

Steve Foster, Georgia Baptist Mission Board evangelism catalyst, said the goal is for participants to leave Warner Robins not only encouraged to reach people with the gospel, but better prepared to put practical evangelism strategies to work in their churches.
