Union and Confederate troops fought at the site on June 27, 1864, resulting in a tactical victory for the South under Gen. Joseph E. Johnston. Reenactors in period attire gathered at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park to march, play Civil War-era tunes, and load and fire muskets and artillery for appreciative onlookers. A Civil War-era camp was also available for guests to walk through and ask questions as they interacted with the soldiers. --- PHOTOS --- File: 20230625-170909-camp talk 2s.jpg Caption: Civil War reenactor Rik Born of Acworth, Ga., explains to guests how the battle developed at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park on Saturday.
